Clarifi Technologies Inc. ("Clarifi," "we," "us," or "our") is a federally incorporated Canadian company headquartered in Ontario, Canada. We operate the Clarifi mobile application and the website located at tryclarifi.ca. Clarifi is Canada's first pre-charge subscription intelligence platform, designed to help Canadians detect and manage their recurring subscriptions before they are charged.
We collect only the information necessary to provide you with Clarifi's services.
With your explicit permission, Clarifi connects to your Gmail account using Google's OAuth 2.0 authentication. Our access is strictly limited to the gmail.readonly scope. This means:

Your banking credentials are never transmitted to or stored by Clarifi. Your bank login information is entered directly on your bank's secure website.

Your personal information is stored on servers located in Canada. Clarifi is committed to Canadian data residency for all user data.

Clarifi requests only the gmail.readonly permission scope — the most restricted Gmail access scope available. Under this scope, Clarifi can only read email messages. We cannot compose, send, delete, modify, label, or access Gmail settings.
From subscription-related emails, we extract:
We do not store raw email content on our servers. We store only extracted subscription metadata (service name, billing amount, currency, billing date, billing cycle) necessary to display your subscription information and send renewal alerts.
You can revoke Clarifi's access to your Gmail account at any time:
Clarifi does not share, sell, transfer, or disclose Gmail data to any third party except as explicitly described in Section 4 of this Privacy Policy.
Clarifi is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately at privacy@tryclarifi.ca.
The Clarifi mobile application does not use cookies. Our website at tryclarifi.ca uses only essential cookies required for website functionality. We do not use tracking technologies for advertising purposes and do not participate in cross-site tracking or behavioural advertising networks.
The Clarifi app and website may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through Clarifi.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update your information as necessary.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use at legal@tryclarifi.ca.
Each individual may maintain only one Clarifi account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent subscription limits or account suspensions is a violation of these Terms.
Clarifi requests read-only access to your Gmail account via Google's OAuth 2.0. By connecting Gmail, you authorise Clarifi to scan your inbox for subscription-related emails. We extract only billing metadata — not full email content. You may disconnect Gmail at any time.
Clarifi connects to Canadian bank accounts through Flinks. Your banking credentials are entered directly on your bank's secure website and are never transmitted to or stored by Clarifi. You may disconnect your bank account at any time.
Clarifi does not guarantee that all subscriptions will be detected or that all detected items accurately represent active subscriptions. You are responsible for verifying subscription information before taking action such as cancellation.
You may connect your Gmail and view a preview of your detected subscriptions before purchasing a Pro plan. Full access to all features requires an active Clarifi Pro subscription.
You may cancel your Clarifi Pro subscription at any time from within the app or by contacting legal@tryclarifi.ca. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
Clarifi offers a 7-day refund policy for new Pro subscribers. After the 7-day period, subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable Canadian consumer protection law.
Bill negotiation is offered as a separate one-time purchase at a flat fee of $29.00 CAD per negotiation. This fee is charged regardless of the outcome of the negotiation.

Violation of this policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund and without notice.
The Clarifi application, website, and all related content including software, code, algorithms, design, logos, and trademarks are owned by or licensed to Clarifi Technologies Inc. and are protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Clarifi grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Clarifi application on your personal device solely for personal, non-commercial use.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE CANADIAN LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE CANADIAN LAW, CLARIFI TECHNOLOGIES INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL CLARIFI'S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO CLARIFI IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED CANADIAN DOLLARS ($100 CAD), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Clarifi Technologies Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or any applicable law.
You may terminate your Clarifi account at any time by deleting your account from within the app or by contacting legal@tryclarifi.ca.
Clarifi reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or used the Service in a manner that could harm Clarifi or other users.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved first through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, legal proceedings shall be brought exclusively in the courts of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under applicable Canadian consumer protection legislation, including the Ontario Consumer Protection Act.
When we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the "Last Updated" date, send you an email notification at least 30 days before changes take effect, and display a prominent notice within the Clarifi app. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
